Makra is a nutrition app for runners. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. In short: everything stays on your device.
When you use Makra you enter information such as your date of birth, sex, height, weight, activity level, the runs you log, and any food you log. The app uses this only to calculate your daily calorie and macronutrient targets and to show your training and food history.
All of the information above is stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to a server, never collected by us, and never shared with any third party. Makra has:
Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or retain on our side.
Your information is processed locally on your device, solely to provide the app's core function (calculating and displaying your nutrition targets and history). It is not used for any other purpose.
Your data remains on your device until you remove it. You can erase all of it at any time using “Erase all data” on the Profile screen, or by deleting the app from your device, which removes everything Makra has stored.
If you have iCloud Backup (or another device backup) enabled, your device may include the app's on-device data in your own encrypted backup. That backup is controlled by you and your device platform, not by Makra.
Makra is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
Makra provides general nutrition and fitness guidance for educational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet or exercise routine.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here and in the in-app Privacy & Data screen.
